I will be showing some of my work tomorrow at the Beth El Second Annual Art Sale and Silent Auction. I’ll have lots of new scarves for gift giving! The show will be open from 11 until 4 at 249 Arch Street in Sunbury, PA. It’s my last show of 2012!
My work is now hanging at the Butternut Gallery, part of a fiber exhibition through September 16. Follow this link: Fabulous Fibers to see more information. The Butternut is a little gem which shows interesting work AND has a broad selection of used books, a wonderful mix.
With two weeks remaining until the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, I have begun finishing up the work I want to exhibit. Today I happily stitched grid lines on top of some large scale fields and furrows pieces~
Sometimes I think how much easier it would be if I didn’t print and dye all the fabrics I use in my work……..then I spend a day at the print table, Bach on the radio, and I remember how much I love both the process and results.
this was the first layer~
